Ulysses S. Grant
The
Presidency of Ulysses S. Grant is a picture of the conflicts between Jacob and
Esau. The elder is prophecied to serve the younger with the promise of the Seed
of the woman coming through Jacob, not Esau because of his fleshly desires. Due
to the hatred of Esau, Jacob flees to Padan Aram.
The name meanings of Grant and the other heads of
government during his Presidency is depicted in story form as such:
The Lord chose Jacob to be the exalted brother of Isaac and Rebekah where the elder would serve the younger. The relationship between these twin brothers would be defined by hatred and conflict. Jacob was a man dwelling in tents, taking up the education of his ancestors which would lead to his maturity in the Word of Promise. Jacob supplanted the birthright from Esau who despised it for a pottage of lentils. Jacob, the younger, became the leader of the family. Jacob would also supplant the blessing from Esau in which he would be fruitful and flourish. Jacob would have to flee from his birthright and blessing to escape Esau's wrath. However, even in hiding and after deceiving his father Isaac, Jacob would receive God's gift of the blessing. Jacob was exiled into Padan Aram where he would hide from his brother until the time would come when he could return to Canaan to realize the blessing and birthright. Jacob the twin, the plain man would travel to Padan Aram where God and the fear of Isaac would be with him. As Jacob left Canaan on his way to Padan Aram he would meet with God and proclaim His awesomeness. God had heard Esau's threats against Jacob and gave him his grace and protection against them.

The constant turmoil in the country
during Ulysses Grant's Presidency depicts the constant conflicts seen in the
narrative between Jacob and Esau. The corruption in the Grant administration,
the Treaty of Washington and the 1873 Economic Depression all display the early
years of the two brothers of Isaac.
All of this and much more will be expounded in the Presidents Code book.
