Inauguration of George Washington

Inauguration of George Washington

“No people can be bound to acknowledge and adore the invisible hand which conducts the affairs of men more than the people of the United States. Every step by which they have advanced to the character of an independent nation seems to have been distinguished by some token of providential agency.”  {George Washington – 1st Inaugural Address}

In Washington's first Inaugural address, he dedicated the nation to the True Parent of the United States who alone can bring blessing (Psalm 33:12).  This is interesting to note as George Washington's Presidency depicts the Father planting the Garden of Eden in the beginning in the "Presidents Code".

"Having thus imparted to you my sentiments as they have been awakened by the occasion which brings us together, I shall take my present leave; but not without resorting once more to the benign Parent of the Human Race in humble supplication that, since He has been pleased to favor the American people with opportunities for deliberating in perfect tranquillity, and dispositions for deciding with unparalleled unanimity on a form of government for the security of their union and the advancement of their happiness, so His divine blessing may be equally conspicuous in the enlarged views, the temperate consultations, and the wise measures on which the success of this Government must depend."

Notice the language that Washington used.  He alludes to our Divine Parent who had given American an opportunity to walk in tranquility just as the first man Adam was placed in a tranquil land.  God gave Americans a Republican form of government which engenders liberty just as Adam was free in the Garden.  In a Republic, it is up to the people to walk in a lawful way otherwise the Republic will fail and quickly turn into a form of dictatorship where the government rules over people instead of for the people.  So too, it was up to Adam to keep and guard the Garden but when he failed, sin crept into the world and Adam lost his dominion and was no longer a truly free man.

This is but one example of where Washington dedicated this country to the Lord.  The United States was established as a  Republic which was founded upon the Rock of the Bible, a place where man could walk freely and in peace, just as Adam in the Garden of Eden.  Of course, this is not to say that the United States was literally a Paradise, but the 'parable' is seen in the early years of this country.

America did enjoy a period of freedom and peace during Washington's administration.  He set the precedent that the U.S. was to be neutral in regards to the affairs of other countries, which at that time saw Europe in the midst of war.  He supported John Jay in creating the Jay Treaty between the United States and Britain which averted war and brought peace to Americans throughout his Presidency.

Washington's first act as President was prayer to the Lord of Heaven.  Following is a quote from his first Inaugural Address.

“Such being the impressions under which I have, in obedience to the public summons, repaired to the present station, it would be peculiarly improper to omit in this first official act my fervent supplications to that Almighty Being who rules over the universe, who presides in the councils of nations, and whose providential aids can supply every human defect, that His benediction may consecrate to the liberties and happiness of the people of the United States a Government instituted by themselves for these essential purposes, and may enable every instrument employed in its administration to execute with success the functions allotted to his charge.

In tendering this homage to the Great Author of every public and private good, I assure myself that it expresses your sentiments not less than my own, nor those of my fellow- citizens at large less than either. No people can be bound to acknowledge and adore the Invisible Hand which conducts the affairs of men more than those of the United States. Every step by which they have advanced to the character of an independent nation seems to have been distinguished by some token of providential agency; and in the important revolution just accomplished in the system of their united government the tranquil deliberations and voluntary consent of so many distinct communities from which the event has resulted can not be compared with the means by which most governments have been established without some return of pious gratitude, along with an humble anticipation of the future blessings which the past seem to presage.

These reflections, arising out of the present crisis, have forced themselves too strongly on my mind to be suppressed. You will join with me, I trust, in thinking that there are none under the influence of which the proceedings of a new and free government can more auspiciously commence...since we ought to be no less persuaded that the propitious smiles of Heaven can never be expected on a nation that disregards the eternal rules of order and right which Heaven itself has ordained; and since the preservation of the sacred fire of liberty and the destiny of the republican model of government are justly considered, perhaps, as deeply, as finally, staked on the experiment entrusted to the hands of the American people.”

While being inaugurated, Washington set a few more precedents which are important to mention.  In a low voice Washington solemnly swore to execute the office of the President of the United States and, to the best of his ability, to 'preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States.' He then added, 'So help me God,' and kissed the Bible, thereby establishing the first presidential tradition.  Succeeding presidents have followed in Washington's footsteps by asking for God's help in fulfilling this oath although this is not technically prescribed in the Constitution.

The Bible which Washington kissed was opened to Genesis 49–50.  This is the portion of Scripture speaking to what would befall Jacob’s sons in the last days.  This was a declaration of Washington that he was being established as the President of God's 'American Israel,' a term used by many preachers of the period.

Washington then delivered his inaugural message to the United States Congress.  After the message, Washington and the entire Congress went down the street to St. Paul’s cathedral for a church service to pray for the new nation.  Washington and all of the nation’s leaders went into St. Paul’s cathedral and spent two hours dedicating America in prayer to the Most High.

The Presidents Code - Random Insights: John F. Kennedy Assassination

The Presidents Code - Random Insights: John F. Kennedy Assassination

Four Presidents have been assassinated in American history.  All of these assassinations are parables which point to the death of Messiah.  Abraham Lincoln's assassination was a picture of the fulfillment of the Promised Seed given to Abraham.

James Garfield was killed by Charles Guiteau which pictured Jacob's spiritual path from the supplanting son of Isaac to Israel, the overcomer (Genesis 32:28).  Who are the overcomers?  Those who put their faith in the sacrifice of Jesus Christ (1 John 2:14; 4:4; 5:4-5; Revelation 12:11).
William McKinley was the third President assassinated.  His assassination was a picture of Joseph being thrown into a pit by his brothers but when Reuben came back to retrieve him he was gone.  This was a foreshadowing of the resurrection of the Messiah (Matthew 28:6).

John F. Kennedy was the last President assassinated.  His murder was a picture of the serpent being raised on a pole which brought healing to Israel.  This was a foreshadow of Jesus who was raised on a cross for the healing of the nations (John 3:14-15).

In the Presidents Code, JFK's Presidency portrayed the second generation of Israel in the wilderness.   Kennedy's Presidency represented the youth of America, the 'new generation,' corresponding with the aforementioned group of Israelies. His Presidency was defined by the Civil Rights Movement which displayed the Word of God given through Moses and his assassination which depicted Israel's deliverance from rebellion by the serpent on a pole, a foreshadowing of the crucifixion of Messiah. His Presidency also saw an escalation in the Cold War which pointed to the wars which Israel began to engage in with the Canaanites.

In the wilderness Israel was healed through looking upon the serpent on a pole (Numbers 21:9).  This was a figure of mankind being saved through ‘looking’ upon the Messiah on the cross (John 3:14-15; Luke 3:6; Isaiah 52:10).  This victory by Jesus, which was displayed in figure by the serpent on a pole, was the fulfillment of the promise of the victory of the Seed of the woman over the serpent in Genesis 3:15.  Is it any surprise then that we see JFK assassinated by a deadly head wound, a parable of the crucifixion of Messiah where the head of the serpent is crushed?

The assassination of John F. Kennedy is one of the greatest of all conspiracy theories amongst men today.  The official story is that the lone gunman, Lee Harvey Oswald, is solely responsible for the murder but there are many discrepancies in this story which leads to the varied theories regarding JFK's death.  This conspiracy aspect to the death of Kennedy lines up with the crucifixion of Messiah as well.  In Psalm 2:1-3, Scripture speaks of the nations 'conspiring' against the Lord and His Messiah.  This conspiracy leads to their demise as the Messiah is set up as king of them (Psalm 2:4-12).  The fulfillment of this conspiracy is seen in the crucifixion of Messiah.

Acts 2:23  Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:
Acts 4:25  Who by the mouth of thy servant David hast said, Why did the heathen rage, and the people imagine vain things?
Acts 4:26  The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord, and against his Christ.
Acts 4:27  For of a truth against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were gathered together,
Acts 4:28  For to do whatsoever thy hand and thy counsel determined before to be done.

As mentioned before, Lee Harvey Oswald is said to be responsible for JFK's death.  His name meaning is also pointing to this time of Israel entering Canaan to do battle with the Canaanites in order to rule over the land.

Lee is a surname which is derived from the Old English 'leah' which means a clearing.  Harvey is from the Breton name 'Haerviu' which means battle worthy.  Oswald comes from the Old English words 'os' meaning God and 'weald' meaning rule.  Here we see Israel, as representatives of God, entering the land of Canaan to do battle with those nations and to 'clear' out the land of their unrighteous ways (Numbers 33:52; Exodus 23:34; Deuteronomy 7:2-5; 12:2-3; 20:16-18; Joshua 11:11-12).

Presidents Code - Random Insights: Hoover & the Great Depression

Presidents Code - Random Insights: Hoover & the Great Depression

Herbert Hoover's Presidency was defined by the Great Depression that struck the United States in 1929, the first year of his Presidency. This Depression portrayed in parable form, the going down of Israel into Egypt during the famine and living with Joseph where they would later become slaves (Exodus 1:10-14). The Hebrew word for depression is אנה 'anah' which means to be brought low or humbled. This is associated in Scripture with famine and fasting (Psalm 35:13) as well as the affliction of slavery (Exodus 1:11).

Hoover's name meaning is speaking of the 'army of priests' mentioned in Psalm 68:11.  Amazingly, the Scripture defines them as 'poor' or 'depressed.'

Psalm 68:10  Thy congregation hath dwelt therein: thou, O God, hast prepared of thy goodness for the poor.
Psalm 68:11  The Lord gave the word: great was the company of those that published it.

The Hebrew word used here for poor is  אני 'aneey' which means depressed or brought low and comes from the above mentioned root word אנה 'anah.'

Further linking the Depression of Hoover's Presidency and the days of Joseph is Psalm 69.

Psalm 69:29  But I am poor and sorrowful: let thy salvation, O God, set me up on high.

The word for poor in this verse is also עני 'aneey.' The word in Hebrew for salvation in the above verse is ישועה 'yeshuah.'  This is pointing to Joseph, who was a picture of Jesus Christ.  The name Jesus in Hebrew, 'Yeshua,' comes from this word.  It is the Lord's salvation that Jacob sought when he sent his sons down to Egypt for bread, and then later followed them thereto (Genesis 49:18).

Psalm 69:32  The humble shall see this, and be glad: and your heart shall live that seek God.

The word humble in verse 32 is ענב 'anav' which also comes from the same root word mentioned above meaning depressed.

Here we see Jacob who sought God and was delivered from death (Genesis 42:2; 43:8).  Israel lived and flourished in the land of Egypt until the days of the Pharaoh who 'knew not Joseph.'  It was the Great Depression that brought about the Franklin Roosevelt administration, whose days speak of this Pharaoh.

The Depression that occurred in America during Hoover's days paved the way for a new Party system which formed around Franklin Roosevelt and the New Deal.  This corresponds with the transition in the Biblical narrative from the life of Joseph to the time period of the evil Pharaoh who enslaved Israel causing them to cry out to God for a deliverer.  This new 5th "Party System" is still in effect today, corresponding with the time period of Moses and the giving of the law.  The next time period in the Scriptures is the 'dispensation' of the Apostles where the focus of God's dealings with His people transitions from the Temple system and living in the Promised Land to the spreading of the Gospel to the four corners of the world.

The Recession of the 70's set the stage for the election of Ronald Reagan and the "Reagan Revolution" which was not considered the beginning of a new "Party System" but it did bring about a significant change or "realignment" in the face of American politics.  Currently, America is in the midst (some say coming out of) yet another Recession.  Is another political "realignment" or new Party System set to occur?

According to the "Presidents Code" this is a real possibility.  Currently, we are living in a time period which reflects the accounts of the Gospels.  These were the days of John the Baptist and the Lord Jesus Christ.  The conflict between the religious leaders of Israel and these two men, in specific the Messiah, are being played out in these days.  The "Liberty movement" which is rising up in this nation is another important part of the Presidents Code.  The Liberty movement, thus far, corresponds perfectly with the followers of John the Baptist and Jesus Christ who would eventually become a new "sect" amongst Israel called Nazarenes/Christians (Acts 24:5; 26:28).  This new era in the Bible could be foreshadowing in a new era of American politics which would be defined as the "6th Party System".

The "Father" of the "Liberty movement" is Ron Paul.  Ron Paul's message has been so influential that a movement has been formed around it, dubbed the 'Ron Paul Revolution.' This movement has been especially influential amongst the youth of America. Former White House correspondent, Juan Williams, describes the movement as bringing about a 'political age of Republican Ron Paul.'  This "political age of Ron Paul" will eventually lead to a new era in American politics (6th Party System) which will coincide with the days of the Apostles.

This 'Ron Paul Revolution' or 'Liberty movement' corresponds with the message of Jesus and John the Baptist and their disciples who carried forth the Gospel even after they were gone. What was their message? A return to the 'faith once delivered to the saints' (Jude 1:3), walking in the old paths wherein is the good way (Jeremiah 6:16; Matthew 11:28-29). This corresponds with the message of returning to the message of the Founders of this country, proclaimed in the Declaration of Independence and Constitution.

Ron Paul's son, Rand Paul, has been raised up as the "heir" of this Liberty movement, and is a favorite in the Republican party to run for President in 2016.

Rand Paul - Ronald Reagan connection

Today, Rand Paul is beginning to successfully bring forth the idea that Conservatism and Libertarianism are strongly linked as did Reagan in the late 70s and throughout the 80s. If I am correct in my understanding of how the course of this nation is playing out in regards to the "Presidents Code" this ideology is going to continue to grow and could form a new "era" in American politics. Whether or not the Republican party is going to change from within or the Libertarian wing will form another party is yet to be seen.

Ronald Reagan's Presidency portrayed King David. The next President will be portraying the days of Messiah. Its a long time between now and 2016 but a President who is similar in nature to Ronald Reagan is not an impossibility as Messiah Yahshua/Jesus was foreshadowed by King David (1 Chronicles 17:17; Psalm 72:1-17; 45:1-17; Jeremiah 23:5-6; 33:15; Isaiah 9:7; 11:1-5; 40:10-11; Zechariah 9:9; Luke 1:32; Acts 2:30).

The Reagan Revolution led to a political 'realignment' in the nation's history. It was a time of conservatism and desire for small government. While this political ideology still exists today, the implementation only lasted throughout Reagan's Presidency and for a short period into George H.W. Bush's Presidency. This points to the time period of David and Solomon before his 'fall from grace.' This was a time period in Israel's history of righteous leadership and dominion over the promised land. So too, this was short lived as wicked kings would spring forth after Solomon went astray.

A Rand Paul Presidency would come on the 'coattails' of his father's "revolution" which would bring forth yet another 'realignment' in the nation's history. This realignment, however, would correspond with the days of Messiah and His disciples which would change the course of Israel's history forever. This time period in the Bible would line up with a "6th Party System" in American history which has yet to commence.

Both the Jimmy Carter and Ronald Reagan Presidencies portrayed the life of King David whose life was a foreshadowing of Jesus Christ (1 Chronicles 17:17). Jimmy Carter's Presidency foreshadowed Barack Obama. Does this mean that Ronald Reagan's Presidency will foreshadow the next President? The more I see of Rand Paul, the more he is looking like the "next Ronald Reagan" (for the better or worse).
